On December 30, 2020, Law School held the 2020 faculty conference and the summary and outlook conference. According to management requirements of CUPL for the COVID-19, the conference presided over by Associate Dean Xue Xiaojian was held online.
After a warm-up video, President Ma Huaide delivered a speech. He introduced the main work of the university in the past year, fully affirmed the work of Law School in 2020, and expressed his new year's wishes to all teachers and students.
Dean Jiao Hongchang made Dean's Work Report and Financial Work Report. The "Dean's work report" comprehensively summarized the work of the law school in 2020, especially during the COVID-19 period. Under extremely difficult circumstances, Law School made every effort to do a good job in anti-epidemic action, teaching, management services and external training. Dean Jiao reported on the progress of the annual "double first class" construction of Law School, and put forward the work focus of the school in 2021. The financial work report disclosed the financial revenue and expenditure in 2020 as well as the financial budget in 2021 to the faculty and staff. Secretary of the Party Committee Liu Dawei made the Student Work Report and Trade Union Work Report in 2020, and Chairman of the Professor Committee Shu Guoying made the Work Report of the Professor Committee to all participants.
Then all participants filled in the Voting Form of Faculty Conference of Law School, Request for Proposals and Evaluation Form of Work Style of Law School and Feedback Form of Democratic Life Meeting of Leading Group. Xue Xiaojian introduced representatives of new teachers: Wang Shizhu, Bai Bing, Meng Jie, Luo Xiaoshuang, Li fupeng and Zheng Yushuang, and welcomed them to join Law School.
In the free speech session of the faculty, Mr. Wang Shengli, as a senior faculty member of the law school who was about to retire, expressed his gratitude to the school. His words, "treat everyone and everything well", resonated with everyone, reflecting the strong humanistic atmosphere of the law school. Professor Wang Chengdong reviewed his career and put forward suggestions for the future development of law school.
During the awarding session, Professor Committee Chairman Shu Guoying declared the Excellent Papers of Law School in 2020 and the winners of the paper award. Deputy Secretary Wang Wenying read out the list of anti-epidemic advanced individuals and anti-epidemic advanced collectives of the school, Associate Dean Lei Lei read out the list of management contribution award, advanced individuals and collectives of news publicity of the college. Finally, Dean Jiao Hongchang read out the list of winners of the dean's award.
The 2020 faculty conference along with summary and outlook conference have come to a successful conclusion. 2020 is an extraordinary year for the development of Law School. We have achieved the work goal of the year in the face of difficulties and challenges. In 2021, we hope our Law School can seize the opportunity to promote long-term development.
